The Eiffel Tower is one of the best architectural creations in the world. In 1889, when this tower was built, it was considered as the tallest tower in the world until the Chrysler Building in New York was built in 1930.

Lots of money was allotted for the construction of the tower because it is mainly made of steel. Maintenance cost for the tower is also expensive because it requires 50 to 60 tonnes of paint every seven years to preserve the metal and protect it from rust. Three different colors are painted on the tower to create an effect of having uniform color from the base to the top of the tower.
